Interbalkan Institute for Educational and Economic Development operated for almost 15 years (2004-2019).
Its primary goal centered on training local business, both big and small, to integrate into the global marketplace. The Institute offered skills that were necessary for productivity and growth. With an intimate knowledge of local affairs as well as the US, the Institute was able to bridge the cultural gap in the effort to bring resources together that would be mutually beneficial to all involved.
The Institute provided seminars, such as those developed by the Highmark Corporation, to businesses in the Balkans. Business persons from abroad facilitated a one week course, which covered issues of management to finance. This was the main platform from which the institute connected with the local community. Further education was something that benefits those who took advantage of such opportunities.
